By investing in healthy relationships and focusing on being healthy ourselves we can begin to work on having a presence defined by Joy, People will see how you conduct yourself in the midst of hardship and if you are cultivating Joy, it will be at tractional and even contagious. Joy is hard to resist and we gain strength when we live joyfully. Strength to overcome, strength to achieve, and strength to share with others when they are in need.
Joy is a spiritual practice that is most often overlooked and under appreciated but can actually give us the most. It is linked to our purpose and helps us realize that there is far more to life that the superficial, material things. We can enjoy those things but we cannot serve those things. We must be in service of something greater. Spreading joy and hope is one of the greatest ways in which we can live out our life with meaning.
